Sciatica Pain Relief
Understanding Sciatica Pain
Sciatica is a pain that runs from the lower back down the leg, often into the foot and toes. It is triggered by an inflammation of the sciatic nerve which has been triggered by a compression.

Understanding Sciatica Pain & Nerve Deterioration:
  • It starts with a burning, tickling or prickly sensation, typically on one side of the body.
  • Many suffer from leg pain, which makes people wrongly think that the sciatica is due to a problem within the leg.
  • Pain levels can range from moderate to incapacitating, even severe, depending on the location of the compressed nerve.
  • Although rare, sciatica can cause permanent nerve damage.
  • Symptoms of a more dangerous medical issue include bladder and bowl incontinence, growing weakness or the loss of sensation in the leg.

Where is the Sciatic Nerve Located?
Picture
Sciatic nerves are the longest in the body. They stretch from the lower back down to your toes. Sciatic nerves leave the spine between two vertebrae in the lower back and travel behind the hip joint down the buttocks and along the back of each leg into the feet.

Sciatica is caused by the irritation of one or both of these nerves. Usually, a herniated disc applies pressure on the sciatic nerve root. Other causes of sciatica can include spinal tumors, spondylolisthesis, trauma, spinal stenosis, or sciatic nerve tumor or injury.

Fast, Powerful sCIATICA Pain Treatment

Most people believe that sciatica is something that only effects those with an inactive lifestyle. While sedentary people are more susceptible to get sciatica, it can affect active people too. People who perform activities with excessive twisting of the back or carrying heavy weights are also prone to sciatica.

In most cases, sciatica will resolve on its own within a few weeks. Treatment options include exercise and physical therapy. For some patients, the pain can last much longer, so individualized therapy plans are suggested such as non-surgical spinal decompression treatment.
Address your sciatica pain by scheduling an examination with one of our spinal disc doctors today. We can provide you with the gentle, long-lasting (and often permanent) relief you're looking for.

I had an injury at work. I couldn’t walk because I slipped a disc. I came to see Dr. Ivan and in a couple of weeks I started feeling better. I feel more circulation and energy too. Not only did I heal, but I am doing better at work than before!  The therapy and adjustments helped me a lot. I recommend Dr. Ivan and his team.

“I fell on my hip 12 years ago and had terrible hip pain and a limp ever since. Immediately after my first treatment I got off the table and wasn’t limping. Dr. Bracic is amazing, with all the technology that he uses – the adjustment table, massage, electro stim, and laser treatment. I think the laser treatment helped me more than anything and I really encourage everyone to give it a try.”

“My neck was very stiff after my car accident. As soon as I got an adjustment from Dr. Ivan my neck felt looser and I have a much better range of motion side to side and up and down.”
